Set against the rolling dehesas of Andalusia, Finca Cádiz is more than a home—it’s a deeply personal restoration of tradition and soul. Elyza Dehesa Fuente, the designer and steward of this serene cortijo, inherited the land’s story from her mother, who discovered it in 1999 and was immediately drawn to its sweeping woodlands and quiet beauty.
Determined to honor the spirit of the original Andalusian farmhouse, Dehesa Fuente preserved its traditional layout, centering life around the patio. But she infused the interiors with something new: calm, clarity, and a sense of timeless restraint. “I wanted it to feel clean and serene,” she says, “but never detached from its roots.”

To bring that vision to life, she turned to MAS MAYA, a brand she discovered through Instagram that aligned perfectly with her design ethos. Their Natural Coating—earthy, tactile, and quietly refined—became the connective tissue throughout the home. “It felt real,” she says. “Not artificial or overworked. It added texture without overwhelming.”
The transformation, she notes, is dynamic. “As you build the layers, the tone deepens. Then the sealer brings it to life—soft, luminous, and ever-changing with the light.” More than aesthetic, the material enhances the mood. “There’s a grounding energy to it. A quiet sophistication.”

Working with MAS MAYA proved just as seamless. Their team offered hands-on guidance, even visiting the site during application. “They understood the feeling I was after,” says Dehesa Fuente. “Their philosophy mirrors my own—honesty, beauty, and simplicity.”
Now complete, the finca radiates balance: rustic stone meets soft white plaster, old-world charm meets modern restraint. A favorite space is a small upper room where MAS MAYA surrounds a single window—“like a window to heaven,” she says. The central courtyard fountain, also finished in their plaster, adds flow and freshness.

Guests are often drawn to the walls. “They can sense something different. You can feel the authenticity—it’s subtle, but it lingers.”
In every corner, the home tells the story of a journey—of decisions made slowly, intentionally, and with love. “This place is us,” she reflects. “It’s not just a house. It’s memory, effort, vision.”
As for what’s next, she smiles. “Right now, I just want to live in it. But yes—future projects are always brewing. And MAS MAYA will definitely be part of them.”
